BBC

Since 2001, BBC Countryfile has collaborated annually with BBC Children in Need to produce the Countryfile Calendar. Each year, viewers submit photographs capturing the beauty of the British countryside, with selected images featured in the calendar. Proceeds from calendar sales is donated directly to BBC Children in Need, supporting disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.

In addition to the Countryfile Calendar, other BBC programmes have undertaken initiatives to support the charity. For instance, Songs of Praise launched a Christmas card competition in 2016, inviting the public to submit festive artwork. The winning designs were sold as Christmas cards, with proceeds benefiting BBC Children in Need.

EastEnders has also contributed by participating in special episodes and performances during the annual Children in Need telethons, helping to raise awareness and funds for the cause.

These collaborative efforts across various BBC programmes have significantly contributed to the charity’s mission, providing vital support to children and young people facing challenges throughout the UK.

Let’s get creative together.
